The National Weather Service Storm
Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch, effective until 4 PM
EST, for portions of central North Carolina, eastern South Carolina
and adjacent coastal waters.
Several tornadoes are possible. In addition, several damaging... wind gusts are likely, with a few significant gusts up to 75 mph possible. A few large hail events with hail up to 1' in diameter are also possible.
Remember, a Tornado Watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
