Go green and save
Article published on Monday, September 21, 2009
As
Santee Electric Cooperative, Inc. launches the new SEC Website, we
encourage our member's to take advantage of the e-bill and bank
draft programs to reduce wasted paper and wasted time. We can also
decrease carbon emissions that are released when mail is delivered
to your home and when you travel to our offices to make payments.
Instead, members will get their statement e-mailed to them and by
having your payment drafted directly from your checking account,
you will also avoid postage costs to mail payments in and time
spent standing in line to make payments.
SEC will also save money on postage and taking walk-in and drive through payments so we would like to pass those savings back to you. When you sign up for e-bill and bank draft, you will receive a $20 bill credit.
1) Simply go to our new Website, www.santee.org, click on Billing and Payments on the right hand side of the page. At the bottom of the page you will find the Bank Draft Authorization form under online forms. Print it, fill it out, attach a canceled check, mail it in and your account will be credited $20.
2) Then log into your account and select the option to stop bill print. It's that simple.
If you already participate in the e-bill program but still receive a paper statement, simply sign up to have your bill e-mailed and we'll give you a $10 credit. Just go to www.santee.org and
Even if you don't sign up for the program, you can at least save yourself a little time each month by going to our Website, www.santee.org, and submitting your payment there. You'll save yourself valuable time.
* This is a printer friendly version of the original page, made to save you ink and paper.
